Rick is a former Division 1 National Champion Swimmer at Stanford University and active World-record holding and World-champion Master’s swimmer. He is also the son of legendary Stanford Men’s Tennis Coach, Dick Gould. Rick recently experienced the college decision process first-hand with his twin daughters, one of whom was a recruited athlete, so Rick has valuable insights into the college admissions process from a recruited athlete and non-recruited athlete perspective.
Richard Tompkins has more than 30 years of experience developing high-level competitive juniors. In the past 15 years, he's produced over 20 local juniors who have a achieved a top ten national ranking. His students have gone to prestigious Division I schools on full rides such as USC, University of Texas, Duke, Stanford, Cal, UNC, and many more.
Co-Owner and General Manager of Tompkins Tennis bring more than 25 years of business and political experience to Tompkins-Gould Athletic Consulting. She also heads up the strength and conditioning division of Tompkins Tennis. Tompkins currently serves on the board of USTA Northern California.
